URGENT INFORMATION: Change of the syllabus for the Master’s Thesis in Electronics 30 cr

Due to criticism from the Swedish Higher Education Authority (Universitetskanslersämbetet - UKÄ), the University of Gävle has quickly changed the syllabus of the course Master’s Thesis in Electronics in order to be congruent with the statements made by UKÄ.

This means that the text in the previous syllabus (EE470D):

Prerequisites At least 60 hp (ECTS) should be finished of the Master's Program in

Electronics/Telecommunications, 120 hp (ECTS). In addition, courses on the advanced

level of relevance for the suggested thesis project should be completed.

is replaced by the following text:

Prerequisites At least 75 credits (ECTS) completed courses of the Master Programme in

Electronics/Automation 120 credits (ECTS), or equivalent

Furthermore, the course code is changed which is necessary when the prerequisites are changed. The new course code is EEA800.

This means that the prerequisite in earned credits before starting the course is increased by 25 %, but, on the other hand, the diffuse demand of completed courses on advanced level is removed. Also, the correct program name is stated.

The change of course syllabus, as well as the necessary change of program curriculum, will be valid for all program students who started autumn 2021 or later.
